As you know, we’ve been following both BlogTourNYC (#BlogTourNYC) and the Architectural Digest Home Show (#ADHome2012), which just wrapped up on Sunday. Over the past few days there have been an outpouring of blog posts from interior designers and lifestyle writers spotlighting products and trends as well as sharing wonderful bits of advice and inspiration from the show and other NY venues.
(In fact, already ACHICA Living has a wonderful post that is jam-packed with tips from some of the bloggers on the tour. If you haven’t read it, I suggest you do!)
As you know, dear reader, one of the aspects that is near and dear to us here at The Turkish Towel Company is bathroom and kitchen design. Here are some of the wonderful things we spotted while following the action vicariously through Twitter from tweets from the #BlogTourNYC team as well as other #ADShow2012 attendees.
Thank you, thank you Kelly Morisseau (@Kitchen_Sync) for tipping us off to Lefroy Brooks’ “Belle Aire” line of bath taps. We love the streamlined retro-futuristic feel!
And, speaking of streamlined and sleek, our friend, Laurie Gorelick of Laurie Gorelick Interiors, was seen testing one of Diamond Spas’ stunning metal soaking tubs, just like this one.
Modenus, the powerhouse behind BlogTourNYC, twigged us onto this beautiful Samuel Heath “Fairfield” faucet.
And, I should note that one of the sponsors of the BlogTourNYC was Victoria + Albert; its bathtubs and basins are just so beautiful. Take a look at BlogTourNYC’s Cecily Mendell’s post about their collections. You’ll want them all!
Stacey Bewkes of Quintessence Blog tweeted about this Cerana fireclay sink for the kitchen by @BlancoAmerica that she spotted at the Poggenpohl showroom in NYC. Love those lines! And oh-so versatile. It’s a bit of a chameleon don’t you agree? Very modern, but also works so well with a traditional setting. That’s because of its exclusive reversible design.
Stacey is so sweet (follow her on Twitter!), she sent me this bathroom photo (below) that she took while on a tour of a super luxury residential building being finished at 157 W. 57th St. I did a little research on this project, and found that select units have steam showers with benches, Dornbracht rain showers with body spray and wet rooms with glass enclosed tub, bench and steam showers. Stacey said that the entire project was incredible! (BTW, the kitchens –which she will be covering soon on her blog— were outfitted by another BlogTourNYC sponsor, Miele USA.)
Were you there, or following along on Twitter like I was? What were your favorite finds?
Be sure to keep an eye on these 15 interior design bloggers from #BlogTourNYC, as they will be sharing their favorite finds from their New York adventure.
