It’s that time again, when kids are packing up to go to college. One of the questions we hear is: How many towels should my son or daughter take to college? Of course there are a number of factors to consider, like how much storage space there is and how often your kids like to do laundry! We’ve heard of some people who take 7 towels, one for each day of the week. For the college reality of small dorms and very little storage, often it is better to err on the side of less rather than more due to limited space.
Heading off to college? We recommend 3 bath towels and 6 washcloths. (You may wish to opt for our Lexi bath towels, which is a mid-weight towel, and is therefore faster drying than our Zenith collection.) This way when one towel is in the wash, there are still two clean ones available for use. Washcloths are double-duty as they are used in the morning shower and at night before bed to wash up and remove makeup.
Other College Bath Essentials
- A bathrobe or a shower wrap
- A pair of flip-flops for the shower area
- A suction cup hook or over-the-door hanger can come in really handy!
- A tote bag for your toiletries
